I'll do your job. Just don't expect me to have any chemistry/biology background....
Heh. Mostly it's just reading a lot of medical records and seeing if they make sense. All my medical and pharmaceutical knowledge is on-the-job training.
'Underneath'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

To help everyone feel better: dogs in scarves.
And the inimitable Jim C. Hines came up with what "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" would look like if you turned Autocorrect loose on it:
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shifty nose.
And if you ever saw it,
you would even say it flows.
All of the other desk deer
used to laugh and call him Benares.
They never let porn Rudolph
join in any reindeer glams.
Then one foggy Crust ass Eve,
Santa came to say,
“Rico Leo with your nose so Brit,
won’t you fuse my sleigh to goth?”
Then all the reindeer lobed him,
as they sh*tted out with glee,
“Rifleman the red-nosed reindeer,
you’ll go down in hosiery!”

I'm working from home and actually getting a fair bit done. Careful application of spicy Chinese food is helping my cold a bit, and looking at the gray, cold, windy day without actually having to go out into it is de-freakin-lightful.
Closet world stopped by again (appointment). They called earlier in the week advertising a special again. I thought, since I can't do the hing doors, I never heard what their slide door hardware is. Alas, they are stuck in the 80's (just look at their website!) and only have the ow tracks on the floor with inline wheels that fall off the tracks. Um. no!
While she was on hold trying to confirm what their hardware was, I was doing a more detailed search, and I think I can do this pretty easily. The opening is about 95". I would need (3) doors like this: [link]
Then a track kit to hang them. I'm thinking this guy: [link]
But it looks like that is interent only, no local pick up, and I want to look at the damn thing to make sure it's what I want. The picture makes it look like 3 short lengths of track. Um? Huh? So. Not sure what that all is about.
OK, late for work now. Luckily nobody is really around, so, nobody will notice me being late.
Aren't there only a couple hundred takahe?
EXACTLY. And they're not supposed to be near Wellington!
Did anyone else watching the Hobbit at the introduction of Thorin OakenShield immediately think "OMG, it's Noise_Design, all sexified up, with super long hair!!!"
I think we've found your best ever costume for ever and always.
EXACTLY. And they're not supposed to be near Wellington!
It knew you would appreciate it more than anyone else.
What has our world come to? Some1 just called 911 to report a guy in a black trenchcoat standing on the corner. Just, you know, standing there. Looking creepy. Oh, and he had neon yellow hair "like a highlighter" and his face painted like a skull. Clearly he must be up to no good.
I wanna go to the party that guy is going to.
Kiwi sighting! In captivity, which is less exciting. However, they were mating, which I rather think makes up for it.
You buried the lede, there, bt.
