deep breaths while you strech - we are your support.
You too, Erin O . The number of times I've wanted to tell, bosses coaches , etc, that sometimes a little praise ( even if the word is better) will do more that snide , sarcastic or accusatory remarks...
and my grocery buying was not influenced by buffistas. pumpkin ale brie nope no influence
{{{{{smonster}}}}} Calm~ma.
Add TCG to the list of the sick. He came home from work early; I can count on one hand the number of times he has done this so he really must be feeling crappy.
I went to coffee with thessaly today, we took a quick run to the market, and then I stopped at the supermarket on the way home. All my spoons are gone; I'm glad I made enough chili yesterday for a small army.
Yikes, smonster! You going to the neighborhood thing tonight? I am not up for the whole thing this year, but if you wanted to meet there I could give you a present and a hug!
I hope your day improves, smonster.
It's a beautiful fall day in NC. I'd kinda like to be outside in it instead of looking at it through the window.
Sending hugs to erin and smonster.
What I did last week:
- Go to San Francisco
- Get sick
- Nothing else
What I have done yesterday and today:
- gone to work
- gone grocery shopping
- cooked dinner
- had real estate forms notarized and sent out overnight
- paid bills for old house and new
- got a list of mental heath care providers in my area
- ordered shoes from Zappos and clothes from Lands End
- reordered checks (which is apparently more complex than I could have ever dreamed)
- called in AND picked up prescriptions
- everyday tasks like laundry, dishwasher, catbox scooping, trash, and recycling
In conclusion: I am exhausted.
Uggghhh. Still sick (feeling slightly worse than yesterday, actually), but I'm working from home. I had a co-worker neighbor drop off my work laptop last night, and now I am editing content, because we have really scary deadlines looming. But damn, I do not want to be doing this.
I've been having mouse issues in my apartment. So far, this has happened around this time every year I've lived here. This time, my landlady decided that it's because my kitchen isn't clean enough. I admit that it's not sparkling, but it's not filthy, either -- there are some crumbs on the counter, and the floor could probably do with being swept more often than I do sweep it, and there are a few splatters on the stove that I didn't totally wipe up. But all the food is put away in the cabinets or fridge, and I never leave dirty dishes lying around.
Anyway. Today, she and the handyman came into the apartment while I was at work, to set up some mouse traps and see if they could find where the mice were coming in from. (She told me about this before hand.) She sent me an email with an update, telling me that they'd set the traps, and that she'd cleaned my kitchen. She totally scrubbed down all the appliances and counters with bleach, and she went through my recycling bin and took out all the peanut butter containers, because those can't be totally cleaned out, and she says that the little bit of peanut butter left in the containers attracts mice.
This is weird, right?
This time of year rodents are attracted to warmth and shelter. Did she remove your furnace and your roof, too? Because the peanut butter jars are not the culprit.
