We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

omnis, how tedious!! As a contractor, I try to be as respectful and clean and efficient as possible, but I know having people in your space and things disrupted is a super PITA.

Side job done, check received!! He was very complimentary of my work, which means a lot to me as he is a valued mentor in my life as well as a friend. He actually paid me more than I asked, since it took longer than I thought.

Now market and home and other things, then the game. I fear for the Saints, against Green Bay. OY.

Smonster, that's great! Always cool when folks pay in a timely manner. And super cool he upped the fee.

Here is where my housework is a chessgame was a failure. I was going to start hanging things on a couple of the living room walls while the flooring guys were working in the bedroom. However, I forgot I needed to pull stuff out of the bedroom. And where did they go? Yes, blocking the walls I was going to hang art. Oh well.

Thrive to spite them

Sorry this is still such an ordeal omnis.

I'm cooking, I haven't felt like cooking in a long time but I made some simple things when mom was here. (The grocery store has cut up meat, veggies, starch, and sides you can buy so we did variations of that. Not so much cooking as heating and stirring stuff).

I went to the farmer's market and picked up some stuff and then the grocery store (it was cold and rainy so a lot of vendors didn't show) and now I'm making Experimental Beef Stew.

Currently it's browned beef, sauted fennel and garlic and mushrooms, simmering in beef broth and some hard cider with various seasonings. Then I'm going to add sweet potato and swiss chard. Hopefully it will be good.

I am so sorry, but, I did laugh as I read this. Not a mean laugh, but a "isn't it funny how life works" kinda laugh. You did say the side job was a good friend? Call them and tell them. Get a new check cut. Hand them the pulp. And try and laugh it off.

Already talked to him. He apologized for not using waterproof ink. I'll get another check.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

oy smonster, glad you got another check cut.

Burrell, have you tried the mix of almond and coconut? It's yummy.

I have not, but I will now, thanks for the rec.

Grading went well, then got derailed when Isaac needed supervision/help cleaning up his room. Need coffee infusion STAT, then back to grading.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

smonster, I have so btdt with checks. I'm glad your friend is getting you a new one.

I made a batch of marinara for dinner, which we had over spaghetti rigate. It was very yummy!
