'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

macy's is good for plus sized clothes. In fact, I think that they're having a plus sized sale right now.

I just bought this skirt and blouse

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Seems the women's clothing industry thinks tall women cannot be fat. Trying to find tall plus clothes is ridic. Eddie Bauer size TXXL fits me perfect, though. The clouds opened, plus-sized angels sang.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Happy Birthday to Strix' DH!

It gets even crazier when I'm a contractor for company A, who has licensed the use of a property from company B, and I'm the one working with it offsite while also working on a competing property from company C.

Dear God.

{Cass}. And good luck with that cat.

Aims, much luck~ma. Still, I can't think of anyone else who'll be better in this than you.

I need to get over waking-up-with-snooze thing. This morning I really could have done without it, but I just was lazy and stayed in bed for extra 20 minutes. It's OK when 10 more minutes/20 more minutes are needed. It's useless when it's me caving into laziness.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

{Cass}. And good luck with that cat.

She's sleeping a stoned sleep now. Hopefully she'll get used to it and just actually chill out with Xanax for the rest of moving.

I talked to my mom for a while. I'm freaking out a little but it'll all happen. It'll totally work out. I might even have enough boxes. I have enough tape and paper to wrap stuff. Never run out of tape is the key mantra of moving, right?

Moving sucks. Or, at least, it's really, really hard.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

It is. Though, since I'm a spinster without a lot of property (last move I had 6 boxes, two suitcases and some furniture), trying to find a new place is the part I hate most (and the part I'm currently at. NOT fun).

I don't think I have a huge amount of things but I have at least sixty boxes. Three suitcases. So much furniture.

I miss the days when everything I owned could actually fit in my car. Except I like things like my dishes and cookware and books. Oh and furniture. But still. It was easier to move.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

::tacklehugs Shir:: You could move here. Just an idea.

This. Very much this. I'm outta spoons. Leg muscles almost gave out trying to get up from chair. And I can't find my plates and bowls. Mom packed the kitchen. Dunno where any of it is at.

Tomorrow is clean the old place day, then in the afternoon, cable guy comes and hooks me back up.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Cass- glad that complaining helped. It not, you can file complaints w/ Better Business Bureau (for whatever state they run out of) and the Attorney General if they are doing something that seems systematically fraudulent. After my DatenDash scammity scam scam debacle, BBB deal with my complaint very very quickly (they contacted the business within a day) but the OR A.G. is super slow. Got a response from them a couple months later. Both were satisfying complaints to lodge, tho not as immediately satisfying as littering the internet with negative feedback on sites like Angies List. I also had good luck googling the business name plus "scam" or "cheat" and seeing what popped up there.

IOmeN, I formally dropped out of Police Dispatch training. The decision was hard, but also a huge relief. I still have a job, and more predictablility in my schedule as a result. Next year I might even be able to finagle myself something other than a 12 hr night shift, which would be lovely. I'm hanging with a friend, watching sappy movies and drinking wine. Life is good.

I hope that it was a good and feel good decision, Erin. It really sounds like it was and I totally support you in it. Even if it was difficult.
