Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
::tacklehugs Shir:: You could move here. Just an idea.
Moving sucks. Or, at least, it's really, really hard.
This. Very much this. I'm outta spoons. Leg muscles almost gave out trying to get up from chair. And I can't find my plates and bowls. Mom packed the kitchen. Dunno where any of it is at.
Tomorrow is clean the old place day, then in the afternoon, cable guy comes and hooks me back up.
Cass- glad that complaining helped. It not, you can file complaints w/ Better Business Bureau (for whatever state they run out of) and the Attorney General if they are doing something that seems systematically fraudulent. After my DatenDash scammity scam scam debacle, BBB deal with my complaint very very quickly (they contacted the business within a day) but the OR A.G. is super slow. Got a response from them a couple months later. Both were satisfying complaints to lodge, tho not as immediately satisfying as littering the internet with negative feedback on sites like Angies List. I also had good luck googling the business name plus "scam" or "cheat" and seeing what popped up there.
IOmeN, I formally dropped out of Police Dispatch training. The decision was hard, but also a huge relief. I still have a job, and more predictablility in my schedule as a result. Next year I might even be able to finagle myself something other than a 12 hr night shift, which would be lovely. I'm hanging with a friend, watching sappy movies and drinking wine. Life is good.
I hope that it was a good and feel good decision, Erin. It really sounds like it was and I totally support you in it. Even if it was difficult.
Oh, erin. What a tough decision to make. Clearly it was very important for you and I'm very proud for you trying - having good people to help one go through emergencies is crucial - and I'm sure you made the right choice. I'm glad life is good and for that relief. It's important not to do just what is right, but also what feels right.
I like things like my dishes and cookware and books
Oh yes. Books take more than 1/3 of those 6 boxes (of course, I don't pack whole boxes of just books. It's usually books+clothing. Spare your movers' backs). I'd like more cookware, and more dishes would be great too, but as long as it isn't a necessity it's off the list.
This. Very much this.
Oy. Good luck, dear.
Thanks! Yeah, it was a really really hard decision and I've been agonizing over it for...a really long time. I know it's the right decision, and I was amazed that my back flare up literally dissolved overnight after I made the decision. I haven't felt this healthy in months. Super hooray for less time studying and more time exercising, spending time with friends, and snuggling with my kitties. Heck, maybe I can even start really dating again. Speaking of which, I was cleaning out my overnight bag today and found a condom that expired in 2009. EXPIRED. In *2009*. That's almost shameful.
The crappy internet at the hospital ate a brilliantly poignant post about not setting yourself up for work pain, if you can avoid it. Imagine well-spun good here. And a good onya.
Shit assed dumbfuck.
Moving sucks. Just fuck.
Yes, it truly does. You have all my sympathy.
Aims, best of luck. You are a brave woman.
Erin,
glad you are at peace wit your decision.

I leave town Tuesday morning and there is so much to do before then. I'm trying to not freak out.
Ryan had his first playdate this weekend. A boy from his childcare, Lucas, came over (with his parents). Much little-boy fun was had with trains and blocks. Lucas, however, rejected the suggestion that they watch Richard Scarry's Busy People DVD, an event which is still scandalising Ryan a day later.
Lucas is already five years old, so next year he'll have left childcare and go off to school. Could be the first time anyone really leaves Ryan's life.

Scandalous!
