Maybe get the guy you gave the microwave to to move it for you?
He should! I just had to eat a cold half of a burrito. I might have been a leeeeeeetle overzealous in getting rid of it last night.
I will try Purple Heart. If they will pick up from the landing that has my place and one other on it, that's enough.
I suppose I could FaceTime someone while people were here. Craigslist is just a creepy place to find strangers to let into my place.
This works. Orrrrr you arrange someone to pick it up on a weekend when we cleverly arrange for me to come down and be Skerry Goth.
sometimes when you are moving you just want the shit to get the fuck out of your residence.
I am living your overzealousness.
and over-identifying.
Cass, hope you have the easiest possible transition.
Scrappy, sending good thoughts your Mom's way! And, Maria, good thoughts to your cousin, too.
Also, anyone else I may have missed, what smonster said
appropriate hugs and ~ma and WTF out in all directions.

I think everyone reaches that point in a move.
Oh, sj, love that scarf. ::covets:: Okay, really, going.
I am living your overzealousness.
Right? I mean, my faithful 20-year-old toaster over stopped working a month ago and I just gave my microwave away. Now, in a month, I will have one built in, so it's okay long-term but... But maybe I should have waited until then?

I am so going to miss terrorizing the neighbors with you. Best game ever.
Driveby 'cuz I finally managed to remember when I have the computer in front of me - For Pix, the link for my bag:

Night, Lovelies!
I second vote for leaving stuff on porch/balcony/patio dealie and letting folks come pick it up on their own time. I love freecycle but I hate dealing with all those people F2F. Just give em the address and let em take care of the rest :)
WRT sister issues...she had been scheduled for an Outward Bound intervention program the last two summers. Last summer she caught the convenient mild mono and didn't go because of the sickness. This summer they cancelled on her because the rest of the group turned out to be teenage boys with substance abuse issues and my sister with a group of boys...yeah. No one expected that to turn out well. There's a slight chance she might be able to get into a program later this summer, but in the meantime there's lots of family counseling and fretting. There was also talk of shipping her to her grandparents (in NC) for a time but then her granddad started having serious health issues so that's no go. I'm not on board with her staying here, waaaaaay too much unsupervised time with my 12 hour work nights (plus, I'd like to have a life myself, thankyouverymuchIneverchosetohaveachild). I still think a boarding school would be a good option. Sure, she'd still get into trouble...but some other administrator would be dealing with the day to day problems. She just doesn't care about consequences, so the constant pattern of sneaking around, getting caught, getting punished, sulking, sneaking around some more is kinda driving everyone bonkers.
perhaps the consequences are something she needs to care about.
Much ~ma for Scrappy's mother.
