Ordering flooring. They are trying to squeeze me in for this Saturday. Woot!

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I second vote for leaving stuff on porch/balcony/patio dealie and letting folks come pick it up on their own time.
Yeah, people are weird.
And Craigslist people are passive aggressive as HELL. We're near 90 today, folks. Want a cheap air conditioner? Don't send me successive emails saying no thanks and then asking for a picture. Then offer me half when it's already cheap.
I know we've talked about it but I am just so sorry for you and your sister, erin. She's making her future so much harder than it ought to be and that's so hard.
Hey, are you interested in an indoor sixish foot ficus (possibly two) that could also live outside (just somewhere covered from the drenching rain)? It needs some TLC after I abandoned it for a month but these things bounce back. I can't move plants to California. Totally forgot that until today.
Flooring update, they can squeeze me in! It seems the bulk of their installation business is commercial and insurance repair (water/fire/crime clean up stuff), so their installation guys are available on Saturday! Woot. Got a good price (I think). And will have new flooring and new dishwasher on Saturday! Yipee! Here is a link to the flooring I ordered (note, picture is not my living room or furniture): [link]
There are no glues, it's a floating floor. So VOC's are nil. And installation should be a snap (pun intended).
Now, let's see if I can move in next week! Eeep!
Pretty flooring.
Gorgeous, Omnis!
Yay, for the new flooring omnis. It's very pretty.
Ooh, that floor looks nice, omnis.
Cass, I hope you can find a place to donate the TV. Seems a real shame that it's so difficult to give it away.
So it's been the kind of birthday that, in previous years, I would have considered a truly rubbish one. The Girl left for Israel at 8am, I had to work (and I'm still working, although at least I've transferred to bed now), and everyone who isn't my wife seems to have forgotten. But there are many plus points, not least that I like my work, my cats are adorable, and I'm currently drinking a very nice glass of wine (and I might have another one in a minute). Could definitely be worse. Even if I am now very firmly into my mid-thirties.
Happy birthday, Seska. I think being overall happy with your life (wife, work, cats and wine) is a good sign.
Okay, I am starting to plan stuff. Like what doesn't move and is going to be a special PIA. I need to go put away all of my clean clothes and stuff so I can have some space to think. I think I am going to call Purple Heart later and see if I can arrange them to come pick up the big furniture things. I think the dining table, two chairs, old and entertainment center (my tv doesn't fit it now) are going donation.
Happy Birthday, Seska! I'm sorry you aren't having a fun day, but yay for being happy with your life?
Hope they'll take everything, Cass!
Nice floors, omnis!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SESKA!!!
