Thanks, all. MFN, you are right about where she lives, but she is WELL taken care of. In her room today were her sister, her BFF, her grandson and his girlfriend and her granddaughter. Tomorrow my brother will be there, plus probably more of these same folks. I wish I could be there, but we'll have to wait and see.
I just got off the phone with her and she sounds okay. The pulmonologist said there is a mass on her lung which he thinks is fungal and may indicate TB(!), but they will know more soon. He did say that other than this mass, he'd send her home because all of her vital signs are excellent.
Hoping for the best outcome for your ma, Scrappy.
Yikes, Scrappy...hope she gets better soon.
Nothing serious~ma to mom of Scrappy.
All good, healthy thoughts for your mom, Scrappy.
Scrappy, it is so good to hear that your mom has support and good medical care. That is such a help when you are not able to be there.
Much ma to your mom, Scrappy!
Much love to your mother and to you, dearest Scrappy. May all be well, and soon.
Someone tell me to stop reading about Daniel Tosh. Or give me the opportunity to punch someone deserving in the face.
Cass, it sounds like it was an easy decision. Not a simple one, not a painless one, but an easy one. And -ma to Scrappy's mom, and I feel like there's someone else who needs it, but I have forgotten.
I'm breathing a little easier because the specialized headhunter told husband that there are not many applicants for his type of job, and his skills are in demand. We may survive this without one of us going nuts.
