Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am still pissed at Mazda's theme music. It's like advertising your cruise ship with "Lust for Life", just with the added bonus of plumbing someone else's culture to get your snazzy tunes: [link] -- it was at least a year before I stopped snapping my head up expectantly, and then seeing cars instead...very traumatic.

askye, I completely understand. My house is in horrible shape right now, but I've been working on it for a couple days since I am finally getting some actual furniture in beyond the minimal I've been getting by on. Fear my Ikea furniture building skills.

But, the place is a hot mess. I made the decision tonight to invest in organizational items with the rest of my budget, because the one time in my life I was able to keep everything together was when every single thing I owned had a place. It was a brief, shining moment in my life. So, again, I get what you're saying, and I think you're right on the nose when you're talking organizational system. Let me know if you want a slogging through the crap buddy.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

askye, I could have posted that myself. I'm trying hard with the new place, but it is so hard to keep on top of things.

OMG. They have remade Steel Magnolias with an all-black cast (including Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, and Alfre Woodard!) for Lifetime. Seriously?? A remake?? I mean, I love the cast and would watch them in something, but...a remake of Steel Magnolias?

Thrive to spite them

I keep plugging along. My new vacuum is awesome though and has picked up tons of stuff I think the other was missing. And as soon as I get a section clear I vacuum because it makes me want to keep that section clean. Plus it makes things look better.

Will is coming over tomorrow and he'll help me some plus give me a morale boost.

We were going to go have a picnic and meander around a state park but there's a 50% change of rain tomorrow so we may have some indoor fun instead.

Yeah I've seen a preview of it.

It looks...interesting. And it seems to follow the original rather faithfully.

It's weird I watched the preview thinking Queen Latifah doesn't seem old enough to play M'Lynn, but then I checked and she's only a year younger than Sally Field was when she played it.

That actually sounds like a good idea. I endorse it, reserving final judgment until such time as I get a look at it.

Have you forgotten Death at a Funeral, a remake of Death at a Funeral

I might have found a car. A certified BMW, same year as my old car, has all wheel drive (apparently a must in snowy CT winters). Lower mileage than my old car (by 10K), and less than a thousand dollars over the settlement.

For some reason I thought Miss Debbie Allen was in the remake so I was disappointed to see she wasn't.

Although in my recent massive rewatch of Grey's Anatomy THRILLED to see she was Dr. Avery! And hooked up with Dr. Weber.
