The status is NOT quo.

Oh Karl. I'm so sorry. Hugs to you.

Cass, I know that any good news right now feels like it has to be taken with a spoonful of salt, but I'm so happy to hear that you got some about your dad.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm glad you checked in, Karl, and that you are getting (will have gotten by this time?) some rest.

That's excellent news, Cass.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cass, I know that any good news right now feels like it has to be taken with a spoonful of salt

This is a good description of what it feels like.

But what I really need to do is focus on the good news. His tumors did respond to radiation and he didn't have have any really awful side effects. I need to be (and have been) given hope from that.

I had some cooked meat go bad in my fridge. Wow, that was disgusting. And I really need to go grocery shopping soon. What is making is lag is that I have one full shelf in my pantry and I feel like I should use some of that first. Problem is that there are three quart containers of vegetable broth. What does one do with a quart at a time of veggie broth? I have this drive to use things but what?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Cook rice or pilaf or couscous in it, then add protein and veggiens? Make a lot of this casserole, eat some of it and freeze the rest for later. (Or eat off it for several days if you don't mind eating the same thing a bunch of days in a row,) If you have or are expecting hot weather make a casserole that is good cold.
