Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, Sean. I wish we weren't having to keep company this way. The "best I can" is not perfect. Perfect might almost be sustainable. Maybe. I don't know, I can't tell. If I'd had Frankie's claws trimmed last week for $10, he probably wouldn't have ripped one frolicking this evening. I lazy-gambled and he lost and I have to pay the literal price. He pays the figurative pain price, which makes me feel like crap.

Yes, I know, this kind of thing is why I need to get the kittens out of my house. They're fine and not much trouble for now, but they will need more vet visits soon. If the local rescue org can't take them in the next week or so, I'll be looking into the local SPCA services (only if they won't put them down, and hopefully use foster homes).

Rick, I keep looking at the car, amazed that I walked away without a scratch. If Saab were still in business, I would send a thank you note.

I suspect that if the insurance co scraps the car, they'll sell it to Saab for the parts. I had it towed to the dealership on the extremely slim chance that it could be repaired. I'll see if Saab would give me more than the insurance co. :)

Heck, eBay the parts, you'd make a fortune off other Saab owners.

I know, right? And it's the stupid little crap, like my key that they don't make anymore. $300 to get it replaced, I'll sell it for $200.

Or the ittle white emblems that go on the car? The enamel comes off, so you're left with a shiny sliver thing with raised letter. I can get you fo $50. :)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Vortex, I am very thankful you were not hurt badly. Sorry about your cr, though.

Teppy, rotten luck about the tooth. But it sounds to me Iike the extra fuss and bother are worth it in confidence. This dentist seems to have the kind of communication skills that are so important and help a person make reasonable decisions.

Congrats, Omnis!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Conversation this morning:

Biyi: "We're having roast rack of lamb tonight, how does that sound?"
Me: (I love lamb) "I'd say that sounds entirely acceptable. Do we have potatoes too?"
Biyi: "Yes, we have three potatoes. I thought you'd be more excited about the lamb."
Me: "I do like the lamb, I just like roast potatoes too."
Biyi: "Bloody Irish peasant!"

Oh my god! Vortex!!! Glad you are ok. Do like everyone says, and take it easy. As much as we like to give credit to the awesomeness of Saab. I think this just proves that YOU are a Superhero! WonderWoman has NOTHING on you! BooYa!

Teppy, sorry to hear about the tooth problems. Glad to hear new dentist is awesome.

Cash, glad to hear the good prognosis on your mom.

So what am I nervous about tomorrow? The funding thing. And what do I bring? Do I need to bring this mountain of paperwork? Or a bag to carry the 2nd mountian of paperwork theya re going to give me? Yes, it's the little things that cause anxiety. Good news is, Sherwin Williams is having a sale. The dishwasher I want from Lowe's will be on sale for the 4th. So, timing will save me some $$! Still need to make a decision about flooring. I am going with laminate. Leaning towards an oak. Dunno who will be installing it yet. So tomorrow, sign my life away, get some paint samples, and start my "vacation". And if I'm lucky, I'll get keys!

Wow, Vortex, that looks like a whole lot of wrecked. I'm glad you were able to walk away.

Sorry about the tooth stuff, Steph.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Jeebys, Vortex! Hope you had a restful night and are feeling .. okay this morning. I'm sure you are sore and probably a little stiff. Hopefully you can stay home today and rest.

Cash - that is so awesome about your mom's prognosis!

Steph - I am sorry about the tooth. If they don't have a laser tooth available, do they have one that is also an mp3 player? That would be sweet.

ION - I do not know why I am up at 6:30 am. I've been up for a half hour, even. Maybe I'll get some laundry done and water my lawn before the heat advisory kicks in at noon. I also have to finish painting my bathroom.
