Hey, evil dead, you're in my seat.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Vortex, your poor car! And poor you! I'm so glad you weren't broken. And that you have the good drugs. I too know the love of a sidelined car, and I'm sorry.

I would consider the implant option, were mine a single tooth, and were I made of money that didn't need to go for other exigencies of living. But it's four teeth. I'm not going to live long enough to get my money's worth out of four implants. But I'm glad the new dentist and staff are nice, Teppy.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Vortex, yikes! I'm glad you're all right. Good Saab!

Cash, great news!

smonster, poor Frankie!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Holy crapsicles, Vortex! I'm so glad you were able to walk away (and get the good drugs). And I'm in awe of the self-sacrificing heroism of your car.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I think I'm going to have to take him to the vet tomorrow. I feel like I'm living the "Spent" game - [link] - and not doing very well.

Punishingly Intricate

ugh, smonster, I totally know that feeling. Especially with vet-related spending.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

You and me both, smonster.

But it's more than just feeling like I'm not doing very well, it's a lot more like I'm doing absolutely the best I can, and that's not very well, and it's not sustainable.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Love you guys.

We love you too. Never, ever doubt it.

Take it as easy on yourself as you can for the next few days, please? Shock is funny stuff.

Glad beyond words that you're relatively undamaged.

It's an 8 year old car that isn't made anymore. Feh. I mean, I can buy a new one, but with no warranty, and no guarantee that I can get the parts.

Sorry about your car Vortex. I visited the Saab factory 30 years ago, and the engineers were very focused on the goal of designing a car that would give up its life for the driver. Don't make it tough. Make it weak in exactly the way needed to absorb the energy that would otherwise be transmitted to the passengers. Looks like yours did its job.

My own Saab is 17 years old. I bike to work year round so I only drive it a couple of times a month. The perfect combination of safety and turbo rush. Alas, there are no longer any parts available, and my mechanic told me that the next time it breaks down it will be over.

There should be a website for people saying goodby to their Saabs. I would check in once in a while to see how many are left, like a list of WWI vets dwindling down to the last survivors.
