Thrive to spite them

Happy Birthday Epic!

I know have a fan that will not hurt me. Actually 2 fans, because Will wired the cover of the other one on. The new fan is smaller, so it will stay in the living room and the larger one is now in an out of the way corner, but blowing on bed.

We went and had dinner in McDonalds, a place we were sure would be super air conditioned. Then I found out the Fashion Bug & Fashion Bug Plus store here is closing by end of the year. I guess the company is ending the chain. Which is too bad because it's the only place in town to get new plus sized clothes. And I like their stuff.

Zen, can I tag this?

That's a real shame. They closed the one nearest me, but once or twice a year Mom & I take a field trip to the next nearest one still there (and generally spend way too much money - but on a LOT of stuff).

And yay for cooling appliances that won't attack!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone! I'm getting out of here and will likely not be able to spend much/any time on the computer this evening, due to being very booked (but not by things that are All About Me - what's up with that?) I've really enjoyed being a Birthday Girl Semi-Work-Slacker so I could post more than once in a single day.

Have a lovely evening, Lovely People!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Smonster, I'll happily pay for the fixin' of any of this kittens. Just let me know. And thanks for helping them.

Also, Tom and I will also totes help with the TNR if you can't get it done for free.

My god, you people are absolutely the best. Thank you. Nora, I saw your email, and thank you!

Also, guess who got to deal with the kitten body per Dept. of Sanitation instructions (which amounted to picking it up without touching it, double-bagging it, and chucking it in a trash can)? Yep, me. And two of my three coworkers declined to help. I said "Man up! Hell, woman up!" Kids these days.

I think I got a little dehydrated today (didn't bring my usual bottle of Gatorade), and I so don't want to make dinner. But I've eaten lunch out twice and supper once this week, and I've got produce a'spoiling, so make dinner I must. Salad first, then pasta.

Just as soon as I stand up. Yup. Here I go. Uh huh.

Also, smonster, you are good people.

Happy birthday, Epic!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Can I get some interview~ma for TCG for tomorrow? He's interviewing for a position above what he currently does.

Happy Birthday, Epic!!!

Also, smonster, you are good people.

What Pix said.

Teppy, I'm glad you are kicking your dentist to the curb, and I hope that you can save the tooth.

After dealing with the car drama today, I met Mom in RI, took her to deal with some of her own car drama, and then we both spent money on me for my upcoming birthday. I now have a new pair of sneakers and several pairs of pants that actually fit. It was damn hot out, we really should have picked an indoor mall instead of an outdoor mall.

Woo, TCG! Rock that interview!

Also, smonster, you are good people.

Before you canonize me as a modern day St. Francis, I must confess that:

  • I go days without walking Frankie because I have a yard and I'm lazy
  • I go days without scooping the cat pans even though I know (I KNOW) that I am playing Bella-pee-on-fabric roulette
  • Xusha is limping like a peg-leg pirate from arthritis but I've let months go by without making another vet appointment (she finally had one).
  • I've got a flea infestation I can't shake, even though all three animals have been dosed in the last two weeks.

So yeah. I can't take on any more animals, I am not taking the best care of the ones I've got.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit?

Zen, can I tag this?

Epic, be my guest, and happy birthday!

Hey, dinner. Finally done. Take that, budget guilt.
