Epic, glad it wasn't just me.

I want to be an Order Muppet. I long to have all my books in one place, in order, and even catalogued in my computer. My comfort with the slovenliness of my home, though, indicates the Chaos at the heart of my Muppet-fluff is stronger. Eris would approve.

edit: Yet I corrected the verb usage in one of the sentences above, because the number disagreement would not let me rest. Order-fluff.

Do you feel occasional qualms over the lack of alphabetization? Order muppet.

I'm almost completely certain that Kermit gave up on having time to alphabetize anything ages ago, and figures just getting the cast out onto the stage and back without death, maiming or loss of limb just has to be good enough. Scooter probably has more things alphabetized. But it wouldn't surprise me if his system was idiosyncratic enough that Kermit can never find anything.

I tend to invent my own organizational systems that only make sense to me, and they're in a constant state of flux. I feel better when things are organized, but it's definitely not my natural state.

I had a good day today. No particular reason. Got some things done, chatted with friends, whipped up a good dinner. And I might be meeting up with a guy from OKC tomorrow.

Speaking of, protip for any male (or female) Buffistas: none, and I mean none of your profile pictures should be poorly lit camwhore shots clearly taken in a public bathroom. Also, boys? Would you please smile in at least one picture? Damn.

And yes, I wish I had a teleporter for the f2f. I keep telling myself it'll all be worth it, when I'm out of debt and stuff, but it's hard right now. And I'm sorry if I am annoying and all "Woe is me I am broke and shit," but y'all know by now that I process things out loud, so to speak (that's not directed at you, Pix, just a general comment. I'm always worried that I am annoying with the way I tend to fixate on things in my life). Still, I think I'm approximately 72% sunnier in disposition than I was just a couple of years ago, so that's good.

Tom and I went out today and did fun stuff! We have been falling into crazy hermitude- I think we just need our vacation really bad, and we're in the final month coming up to it. But we had no plans, and needed to leave the house, so we went downtown and swung by a few festivals and didn't even get rained on!

Also had a few lovely cocktails at this place, which I really like going to, but don't get to as often as I'd like. Their Dark & Stormy is crazy good, and I also had a lovely gin gimlet variation.

Then nap, then takeout, then watching Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Now bed!

Note that many of the pictures are unsmiling? I'm willing to bet those are real profiles. I'd look at my "enemies" but they'd be able to see that I'm looking at their profiles, and I don't want to attract their attention.
