HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VORTEX!
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Is beginning the 4th decade the same as turning 40? The first decade begins when you're born.

I need a new standard underwear, too. Last time at Targt they were fugly colors, and Hanes ruined the ones I liked (kind of girl tighty whities, but in grey and black) by putting HANES in huge letters on the waistband. I'll have to investigate Jockey. I bought some Fruit of the Loom, but they sag in the bug and ride up. Hate them.
Hey! I got my raise yesterday! Still a contractor, though, not an employee.
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY VORTEX.
Happy birthday, Vortex!
Woo, money! to Smonster.
Happy Birthday, Vortex!
All right, smonster!!
LIESE, if you are around, I have a question. I'm editing a short story, and the protag is Native American and he makes a comment, "I don't even know what reserve he [other character] was from."
Now, I've heard "rez" but is "reserve" common slang for reservation among any of the NA populations you've encountered?
Is he Canadian? I've heard reserve used very rarely, but only in slightly odd contexts, like British talking about Americans, or maaaybe northern territories tribes, although they're more likely to say First Nations stuff.
Also, even 'rez' is careful slang. That is to say, you kinda have to earn the right to say it.
I was going to say, that sounds like Canadian usage to me.
