[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I called siblings today. Left message for brother. Not uncommon. He always screens calls, and rarely picks up. I called sister, she was taking a nap. Talked to neice. Asked her to tell sister to call me when she wakes. She never did. Not sure if that's sister flaking, or neice not passing along message.

OK, brain hurting. Doing programming for ND. My notes at 3am weren't quite complete. Trying to remember what needs doing. Ouch.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

You know some of my co-workers and I were talking about Scandal and Revenge and it struck me - two very popular new shows, with action, intrigue, etc., and the protagonists are women. And women are fairly high up on the list of antagonists. Add in Once Upon A Time, where the two main characterss are women, and it's looking interesting. And they're all on ABC.

It just struck me ... so often, in these nighttime shows, women will be "the girl" "the romantic interest" but not really active. It may not mean anything, but I find it interesting.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Omnis, I can understand how frustrating your siblings' lack of participation is upsetting for you and your father. Just keep in mind that it's actually their issue, not yours. Just do what you can do to connect with your dad as you've been doing. It's actually kind of not cool for your dad's gf to put this on you to solve or fix. It's their decisions to not reach out to your dad, and they may feel like they need to do so for whatever reasons that makes sense to them. It's not your problem to solve. Just keep doing your own thing with him.

I know in my past I have had to step away from family situations because they were unhealthy. I had my reasons, and I also didn't always share them with my sister because I didn't want to taint her relationship with them.

Sj, I hope your day gets better! Sorry it's sucking so far.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Yikes.
