Sanity check, please? If I haven't heard anything from the HR guy by, oh, 3PM, would it be okay for me to send him a short email? Something like "I'm sure you're busy, I just wanted to touch base and see if there was any other information you needed from me?"
twitches
And to make today even more fun, Pete has been felled by a horrible cold. He's finally accepted that he's not going upstairs into the studio today.
I think a short, unpushy email would be fine to send this afternoon.
I am sorry Pete is ill. Sick is no fun. And having a sick spouse when you're already stressed is hard too.
I would wait until tomorrow, myself. Give HR one more day to get their hiring ducks in a row.
It seems forever when you're the interviewee, but not when you're the interviewers. They're probably trying to schedule a meeting and still responding to a Monday morning crisis. Not that that helps.
I would like to go on the record and say that I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the one who dislocates ribs and gets the funny anemia.
Just heard from the HR guy. Bad news: I didn't get this particular job. GOOD NEWS: they want to hire me for another position, and will as soon as the headcount is approved. So yay?
Sounds like a yay to me?
I did not go look at the bike, and it's been sold. I did not go get produce. I did have an anxiety attack and take half a Xanax and fail at a nap. On a more positive note, I did some rehab exercises which, if I keep doing them, may decrease my chronic pain level.
My cats are staring at me and twitching their tails. Food times nao, I suppose.
It sounds like a yay to me, Jilli. If you feel like discussing -- did he give you any info. about the position, and does it sound good? I'd certainly be encouraged - almost sounds like they want you so much that they'll create a position to get you, what with having to get headcount approval and all.
Jilli,
that's great! what did they do, create a job for you?
I think that’s definitely a yay!
