Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Congrats, askye!

I have eaten breakfast, done dishes, taken Frankie to the park, stopped by a friend's house, given Frankie a bath, and taken a shower. My main goal for the next couple of hours is to apply for a job and/or apply for a career fair thingy. My reward is getting a box of produce from the farmer's market.

Ready and... go!

Yeah, I went went back to bed. Creating structure for myself - really not a strong point. Hmph. I'm going to go look at a used bike, and then get the produce anyway. And then take another stab and setting goals and such.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Day two of the Stage Rigging workshop. I'm getting the feeling there will be very little/no hands on/practical lessons, and a whole lot of theory & war stories. Eh. Some exposure is good exposure. Just wish there was more how-to's. What I do know, three days in a row of 8am calls and going until midnight is wearing me out. And the conference hasn't even begun yet!

Sanity check, please? If I haven't heard anything from the HR guy by, oh, 3PM, would it be okay for me to send him a short email? Something like "I'm sure you're busy, I just wanted to touch base and see if there was any other information you needed from me?"

And to make today even more fun, Pete has been felled by a horrible cold. He's finally accepted that he's not going upstairs into the studio today.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I think a short, unpushy email would be fine to send this afternoon.

I am sorry Pete is ill. Sick is no fun. And having a sick spouse when you're already stressed is hard too.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I would wait until tomorrow, myself. Give HR one more day to get their hiring ducks in a row.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It seems forever when you're the interviewee, but not when you're the interviewers. They're probably trying to schedule a meeting and still responding to a Monday morning crisis. Not that that helps.

I would like to go on the record and say that I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the one who dislocates ribs and gets the funny anemia.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I would wait until tomorrow, myself.

Ditto.
