Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's definitely a rose. I'm no expert, but my guess would be Doctor Huey. It's a red rose that tends to open into a loose flower like that, with a bit of white at center of the petals. Can't recall stamen color. It's often used as root stock for grafted plants because it's hardy and grows well.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Robin Hood [link] is another possibility. Wander through the Antique Rose Emporium site to see how many types of roses there are.

Because books.

Thanks, ladies. I'm unreasonably excited that we have a rose bush I knew nothing about.

It kills me that apparently there were also pear trees that the previous owner had taken out.

Love those bookshelves!!!

My favorites are the REK expandable, the maze, the equations, and that staircase is an incredible idea--brilliant!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I never get tired of looking at those staircase bookshelves. Which is good because my eyes are limping, staggering, sobbing messes in need of some serious visual comfort food after looking at those horrific slides.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I drank orange juice. I'm so not supposed to. But it was...it's so tasty. And there.

Interestingly enough, whenever I get admitted to the hospital, they automatically prescribe antacids. I'm not sure if that's because of my meds, or what.

eta: Sadly, those slides are merely normal currency.

Let me go see what errands I can take care of during lunch.

"Literally Unbelievable"

A bunch of Facebook posts by people not realizing The Onion is fake.

Funny and/or sad.

eta: The number of people who believed The Onion article Planned Parenthood Opens $8 Billion Abortionplex is especially sad.
