What? I'm not allowed to hit people? Wesley: Not people capable of genocide. Angel: Those are exactly the types of people I should be allowed to hit!

tommy, have I missed something? Who's Darby, whom I'm going to assume is an animal of some sort if you're talking vet!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The what now? I think you're thinking of someone else's post...

Buffista gardeners: any idea what this flower is? It's growing in a big bush in the backyard -- it must have been done flowering when we moved in last September.

The picture was quick and sort of crappy, sorry.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Isn't that a rose? I don't know what kind, but it's not the elegant-looking ones you see cut in florists' shops. We have one of those bushes, and I've been calling them roses for 3 years.

Possibly a variety of floribunda rose? [link]

Stephen thought it was a rose! I thought it was a little too ... floppy? Open? But I'm probably just thinking of florist shop roses, and not one of the varieties.

It also has only a very faint fragrance, which made me question it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's definitely a rose. I'm no expert, but my guess would be Doctor Huey. It's a red rose that tends to open into a loose flower like that, with a bit of white at center of the petals. Can't recall stamen color. It's often used as root stock for grafted plants because it's hardy and grows well.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Robin Hood [link] is another possibility. Wander through the Antique Rose Emporium site to see how many types of roses there are.
