So there is something I can do, besides scream like a woman?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hmmm, you can tell it's been a while since I wore a shirt that shows cleavage, because I totally just looked down and said "Where the hell did those come from?"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My cleavage shirts aren't the ones that scare me. But avoiding the mirror seems to do the trick.

No one else can see them, right?

So, they're like the Ravenous Bugblatter Breasts of Traal?

Theodosia, if you can afford them, I can really recommend NurseMate shoes for when you have to stand on your feet for a long time. They're not pretty, but they're terrific when it comes to saving your feet. I got them from ShoeLine for about $60 or so.

Merrells are good, too. Also not cheap, but I think that they are worth the investment.

It's funny, in England, the cashiers sit down, and it feels so weird, but it makes so much more sense!

Punishingly Intricate

I know my doctor and nurse friends love Danskos. More expensive but pretty stylish and very sturdy.

Colin swears by Earth shoes.

Geeky growth chart. Man, I wish I were still growing. Is that a shallow reason to have a kid?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Earth shoes, you mean the ones with "negative heel technology"? I was always afraid of those. Seems like they would kill your back.

Yeah. He has had extensive foot problems (including surgery), and they are all that he wears now.

It's so funny, I remember my mom wearing those in the seventies.
