Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So both the US and al-Qaida are mad at Pakistan.

No Pictures, It Did Happen: al-Qaida Admits Osama’s Dead

The biggest irony of the statement is that both the U.S. and al-Qaida suspect Pakistan sold them out. Al-Qaida hectors the “handful of traitors and thieves who have sold everything to the enemies of the nation,” and begs its remaining allies in Pakistan to “rise up to wash [away] this shame.”

I wonder how this will affect the various conspiracy theories about Bin Laden's death....

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I got (decidedly non-vegan) takeout from an Indian buffet for lunch today. I forgot to wait for the naan they were cooking for me, but wasn't super hungry so it works out well.

I wonder how the unneeded chutney dipping sauce would taste as a grilling marinade?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a purchase at bananarepublic.com that is four cents away from free shipping. This is bothering me inordinately.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I once had something like that from Amazon, so I added an eraser for about 50 cents to get up to the $25 for free shipping. They shipped the eraser separately.

What is the BR version of an eraser? Now I want to trawl their site and see if they have anything under the $7 shipping charge.

Unlikely.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

A few weeks ago, I was only $3 away from getting an additional $10 off, so I added a three-pack of underwear to the order.

I Yarn-Bombed This

An artist crocheted an entire apartment.

Her largest installation to date is a fifteen-by-fourteen-foot studio apartment, wherein every wall, picture frame, television, and toilet is wrapped in its own custom sweater. Originally stitched in Olek’s own Park Slope apartment, the crocheted mini-universe is currently exhibiting at Christopher Henry Gallery in Nolita, where it will remain until May 28.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I just ordered three things from Amazon to get the free shipping, and they are each coming separately.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I probably shouldn't start screaming OH MY GOD STOP BEING SO STUPID at work people, should I?

And so I'm defeating the saving money purpose by adding an item almost as expensive as the current contents of my shopping cart, but in my defense I do need it and it's very pretty.
