Most people is pretty quiet right about now. Me, I see a stiff -- one I didn't have to kill myself -- I just get, the urge to, you know, do stuff. Like work out, run around, maybe get some trim if there's a willin' woman about... not that I get flush from corpses or anything. I ain't crazy.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Catching up:

I put "pecan pie" for the recipe. amych

But were you thinking of it as "PEA-can" or "peh-KHAN"?

Barbecue is probably the most argued about food in the country.

That, or chili.

Southern dumplings are more like fat noodles

Very similar to gnocchi and spetzel.

S and M stands for smoke and mirrors and was a common practice in the middle ages, before modern pop singers like Rihanna made it popular.

Someone's doing it wrong.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I wanted a poppyseed bagel this morning. But the place doesn't sell poppyseed bagels. You can have sesame seed, or everything, she said. Sesame seeds look like poppy seeds.

I almost got into the argument with her, but paused, took stock of the importance of the issue, and just bought breakfast.

Unfortunately the bagel and the cream cheese are tainted with savoury, and I wanted neutral this morning. Wash your utensils, guys, and store stuff separately.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

One more:

Possible thesis (goes here).

OK, another one:

Its not really plagiarism as it was exactly what I was going to write anyway.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Did you know that the Gracchi was a sea monster?

Somehow "release the Gracchi" doesn't have the same effect ....

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

That, or chili.

I would have said chili too.

I've never thought of oyster stuffing as a Southern thing, because whenever I've eaten it it's been in New England, but now I'm wondering if it came to that side of the family via Tennessee.

I'd guess it was a coastal thing, or maybe an East coastal thing.

I put bagel as argues, chicken for dumplings, dressing/stuffing as a recipe passed down, vinegar for BBQ, flour for pound cake, brisket for other than pork, beans for non-meat to bbq, fried okra for southern food, raspberry for tea flavor, mint julep for southern drink, Paula Dean,

Wow. I can't believe your bagel place doesn't have poppy seed.

And please: how can anyone think that sesame and poppy are the same thing?
