Why is this woman wearing a beige felt representation of Cthulu as a hat? [link]

Because it's the next best thing to her mom crashing the wedding with an enchanted spindle?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm excessively tired of the universal every-bride strapless fishtail silhouette

I believe that Kate had to have her shoulders and upper arms (maybe? shoulders definitely) covered for the wedding. I can't remember if that's an Anglican tradition or Royal decree, or what.

And I suppose she could have had a strapless dress with a shrug/bolero/whatever that would have met those standards, but honestly, she's marrying the damn future King of England; frumpy is certainly not called for, but more demure than many brides are, sure.

I loved it. No insane train, no poofy crap, no trendy shit. It was lovely.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

It did have a bit of a Family Revenge feel to it, didn't it?

I don't get the hats that look like miniature flying saucers that made a very bad landing.

I totally agree. I'm sitting in Teppy's corner because she is right.

I also think she looks ecstatic, but a little exhausted.

I cannot believe how much hair loss William has.

And I love you people. No one else in my life wants to talk about, let alone link, the wedding.

I think many (most?) brides (and grooms) are exhausted by the time they get to the actual wedding day. For this one, I can't imagine how much rehearsal and prep work and fittings and whatnot they had to go through prior to it.

It's just cool to see that they really seem to genuinely adore each other.

Also? I'm still giggling over Harry's crazy!hair.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

No one else in my life wants to talk about, let alone link, the wedding.

It's too bad you don't work here. Both the SF and Palo Alto offices are having a high tea this afternoon, in honor of the wedding.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The wedding was brought up in our all-IT meeting in order to say that we weren't going to talk about it. We're very cool like that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, we (I) can't stop talking about it here!
