I need fashion input from the board.
I'm going down to LA in late May to do my annual Tom Waits bus tour. I've decided to invest in a Ben Sherman mod-styled shirt for the tour. It's casual but nice and distinctive.
Here are the choices:
SS Pique
Romford in Acidic Blue (I'd call that sky or Pan Am blue.)
Romford in Navy and red.
Also, Tom Scola needs this jacket. It's Scola-esque!
I like this jacket too for Tom.
But now the birthers are going to come up with some other reason why he's not qualified to be president,
Already flying: #1 it's a fake #2 he was adopted by his Indonesian stepfather and lost his American citizenship.
here are some cute puppies
Oh man, that improved my mood considerably.

Turtles all the way down. One has to love it, when it doesn't make one want to head-desk into eternity.
Okay, I'm off to buy gift certificates for the office managers, since our actual supervisors completely dropped the ball. Oy.
Morons! Or, excuse me, morans!
Hec, I like the first shirt the best!
I just checked in for my flight to Vegas tomorrow--woot!! Cannot wait to get out of the cold and wet for the desert and 90-degree weather.
So far as I know, HIPAA doesn't prevent you from making public your OWN medical records, just institutions and other individuals. Obama shouldn't have had to do it, but I can understand just wanting to do it and be done with it. Plus it makes more public the foolishness of anyone who called for it for years and then moves on to other niggly complaints about it.
Somehow I think "vodka that tastes like chewing on a Christmas tree" would be hard to sell.
A DELICIOUS Christmas tree! Mmmmmmmm, gin.
We're getting some warnings of dire weather here too, but so far nothing too bad in Nashville. Apparently the town where my DH teaches (about 45 minutes south of us) took some damage last night, but I don't think there were any Actual Tornadoes. At least his office is in the interior of a "tornado-proof" building. Mine, on the other hand, is a big wall o' glass here on the second floor, but if the radar I'm constantly refreshing is correct, we shouldn't be in the path of the worst of it.

Meh. I tend to read Ben Sherman as preppie, rather than mod.
I hope all of you in bad weather stay safe and dry!
I know a lot of people here read jezebel, and will see this, but I think this is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Jersey Shore quotes in the style of an Oscar Wilde play: [link]
