That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Somehow I think "vodka that tastes like chewing on a Christmas tree" would be hard to sell.

A DELICIOUS Christmas tree! Mmmmmmmm, gin.

We're getting some warnings of dire weather here too, but so far nothing too bad in Nashville. Apparently the town where my DH teaches (about 45 minutes south of us) took some damage last night, but I don't think there were any Actual Tornadoes. At least his office is in the interior of a "tornado-proof" building. Mine, on the other hand, is a big wall o' glass here on the second floor, but if the radar I'm constantly refreshing is correct, we shouldn't be in the path of the worst of it.

hwæt

Also, Tom Scola needs this jacket. It's Scola-esque!

Meh. I tend to read Ben Sherman as preppie, rather than mod.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I hope all of you in bad weather stay safe and dry!

I know a lot of people here read jezebel, and will see this, but I think this is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Jersey Shore quotes in the style of an Oscar Wilde play: [link]

I vote for acidic blue, Hec.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My area's under a tornado watch until 8pm tonight. The map on weather.com doesn't look as bad in NC as it does west of the Appalachians, though. Safety~ma to everyone in bad weather areas.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

My area's under a tornado watch until 8pm tonight.

Again? Sheee-it.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We're also *still* having Apocalyptostorms, and I am SO OVER IT.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Two gift cards and some flowers purchased. I'm only out about $10 because my coworkers kicked in.

Man, I remember back in the day when I worked at a software think tank, they took the entire admin staff out to lunch at Jimmy's Pier 4 in Boston--in limousines. And we got the rest of the day off.

Ah, well. At least the admin staff knows the staff appreciate them.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Cupcake vodka.

I need this. Really, I do. I don't even really care about the flavor or "mouth feel", I just want to have a bottle of Cupcake Vodka in my liquor cabinet.

Himalayan pink salt! I have a tiny container of it, in a grind that was described as "velvet salt". It is amazing on popcorn.

I have a blazer from Ben Sherman. I had no idea who he was, but he made a women's blazer in b&w stripes with tiny pink stripes as accent, so he obviously designed it for me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

women's blazer in b&w stripes with tiny pink stripes as accent

That doesn't sound preppie to me.
