Wash: Captain, didn't you know kissin' girls makes you sleepy? Mal: Well sometimes I just can't help myself.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

These chips are sea salt and unnamed vinegar. And salty! And puckery! I could lose parts of my face this way.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Too much vinegar is not good. Malt vinegar is mild without being sweet. Now I'm longing for fish and chips with sea salt and malt vinegar. The great thing is you add your own salt and vinegar, so you end up with it as salty and puckery as you want and no more.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I cannot get over this necklace on Etsy: [link] It's an actual luna moth, preserved in resin. Dayum. I don't know that I'd wear it, but it's gorgeous. I love luna moths.

eta and now I have tattoo idea I can't shake - lifesize Luna moth in flight on my outer thigh.

Hey, Steph, when you come by, can you recommend an actual book on shibari or kinbaku? I despair of ever finding a non-sexual class/workshop (unless you have leads for me too--everything google turns up is decidedly on the erotic side).

I've seen these titles, but don't even know if they're the best ones to consider:

Thanks if you can, never mind if you can't!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I love luna moths.

Me, too. I saw one just out of its cocoon, drying its wings, at the Botanical Gardens last month.

Art Crawl!!!

I just texted my boss that I thought my ride was running late. . . because I thought it was an hour later than it is. . .because when I heard the time I thought that it was 7:19 when it was only 6:19.

information libertarian

We're bracing for incredible weather today - worst of it overnight. The weather people have their hyperbole on, but the statistical odds of a tornado in many places are, as one guy put it, "absurd." It should be worse in Atlanta than here, and worst in North Alabama.

Blerg. My brother's in B'ham. I'm hoping the crazy hilly nature of that area protects them some.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

And it's supposed to be sunny, 70, and slight chance of t-storms around here - the weather is getting uneven all over the place. My personal theory is that God is mad at Paul Ryan.

I have to get dressed, eat Something, and drive off to meet the recruiter and Sign Papers to take the contract job. Still more than a bit shell-shocked, though that may be partly from the muscle relaxant I took to calm down enough to sleep last night.
