Joyce: Dawn, you be good. Xander: We will. Just gonna play with some matches, run with scissors, take candy from some guy, I don't know his name.

We're bracing for incredible weather today - worst of it overnight. The weather people have their hyperbole on, but the statistical odds of a tornado in many places are, as one guy put it, "absurd." It should be worse in Atlanta than here, and worst in North Alabama.

Blerg. My brother's in B'ham. I'm hoping the crazy hilly nature of that area protects them some.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

And it's supposed to be sunny, 70, and slight chance of t-storms around here - the weather is getting uneven all over the place. My personal theory is that God is mad at Paul Ryan.

I have to get dressed, eat Something, and drive off to meet the recruiter and Sign Papers to take the contract job. Still more than a bit shell-shocked, though that may be partly from the muscle relaxant I took to calm down enough to sleep last night.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's nice here! Good luck, flea and others in the region.....

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for everyone in the storm's path. May it be far less bad than people are predicting.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Mmmmm, salt. I use kosher salt for cooking and table salt for baking. And Himalayan pink sea salt at the table because someone gave me a grinder of it once. (Plus, it says on the back of the package "Himalayan sea salt is essential to life" so I'm pretty sure if I don't salt my food with it, I'll die.)

Fuck cancer.

Today is shaping up to be an awesome day for food - the Kimchi Taco truck is near my office and I'm going out here for dinner with my BiL. SO MUCH NOMS.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Gar, all kinds of ~ma for you. Fuck cancer, indeed.

major meara -

flea, I think you are getting the storms we've been having. Many many tornado warning around us the last 3 days. I have had trashcans full of small branches blown out of trees the last 2 weeks. stay safe everyone.

Theo - does this contract job mean you quit the grocery? Best of luck with it.

FUCK CANCER. typo - strength to you, kick it in the ass.

Trudy -thoughts to you and your family.

Go on with your badself Erin. and yay for awesome supporting people.

As is my way, I have been pretty productive since starting the part-time job on Monday. At work, I have cleared like 3 tasks the bosslady was behind on and she is way happy that I learn software really fast (Quickbooks, I am looking at you). Then in my reduced time at home I have been way way more efficient since I have less time. Cleaned out most of a flowerbed and swept the driveway Monday night. Last night I made a dessert for a church dinner tonight, unloaded the dishwasher, washed a sink of dishes, and mended a skirt while watching a movie. I really wish this gig could just stay part-time, but have benefits, I think I could love that.
