Perkins, YAY! Awesome milestone ... what's next?

Parent types, especially Jessica, have you all read Nutureshock? I just started it and it's great. Like Freakonomics but child development instead.

bonny, thanks. David was an extraordinary person.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Isn't Sue Sylvester evil?

I still think people should run in things that aren't track suits. But I will give you a pass if you're really fit.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Perkins, YAY! Awesome milestone ... what's next?

Finish up the year of Herceptin (through October), and start hormone therapy--I have an appointment about that on Monday.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Congratulations, Perkins! A wonderful milestone.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I thought that was a given.

At least in Vegas.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

VEGAS!!!!

I think msbelle might be interested in yesterday's Ellen show, and the Paul Walker Cool Water commercial she showed. FYI.

I had a drink with my friend from work, and now I don't feel like doing all of my agenda items for the evening. At least I have to wrap my mother's birthday presents, but I doubt the bathroom or the clothes will get cleaned. Tomorrow night, I guess....

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Now I want to find shibari classes, but with none of that icky sex stuff.

I don't know about LA, but here in my fair conservative city, there's a rope group that meets once a month where it's just a demo/educational thing. One guy who has years of experience with shibari leads it, and the topic changes every month, like chest harnesses, or suspension, or whatever. He'll explain/demo it, and then the attendees can practice it. But people have to stay clothed, and there's definitely no icky sex stuff.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

To be clear, I was just being facetious about "icky sex stuff." Personally, I think sex is quite cool.

A quick google of shibari and Los Angeles shows erotic stuff as far as I can tell. But I will keep an eye open.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I went rummaging around in my boxes of wine (uh, that's boxes with bottles in them, not stacks of boxed wine) looking for something to go with tonight's dinner. I seem to be out of Sauvignon Blanc, which is what I was looking for, but I did find a 2003 Zinfandel Port that had been opened probably 4+years ago and sealed with a Vacuvin. So I brought it in to try a tiny glass. It's pretty darn good!

In short, Vacuvin works.
