I have a (non-spoilery) theory about Raylan from Justified, that he is a bottom but tops from the bottom. I could give supporting evidence (in Cable, cause might be spoilery for unamericans) but it would be indicative and really far from proof. Maybe more of an impression than a theory...

There's a certain level of tension I'd like to be able to communicate. I don't know if it's inherent to shibari, but I can see it being in this particular dynamic.
