My So-Called Life

I do believe this was my first serious heartbreak. All that came after reaffirmed my ABC hate and numbed me for the untimely ends of low-rated series.

I would have liked more Deadwood but three solid seasons isn't really snatched precipitously off the air, either.

le nubian, S. got them in our supermarket. I think they might have a short season, though?

Was Twin Peaks on the list? As wacky as it got, I still liked the second season enough to want a third, especially the way it ended.

The Middleman

As much as I love Homicide, seasons six and seven were relatively painful. I'd like for seasons one and two to not be short...more Melissa Leo, and pay Ned Beatty what he wanted. And I'd liked to be mindwiped of Jon Seda "flirting" with both the peach and the aspirin bottle...I'm still scarred. Deadwood: If they weren't bringing it back, I wish they hadn't introduced the acting troupe...they took attention from the folks we already cared about. Much like with The Sopranos when the "Class of '85" we'd barely heard about all got sprung from jail at once.(Even if I saw "Dennis Becker" again.)

no Pushing Daisies?

I STILL have not finished watching Pushing Daisies, because I don't want to reach the end. (Plus right now, watching something where the previouslies usually mention his mother's death? Right out for me, at the moment.)

I've heard of topping from the bottom. So the bondage part isn't necessarily the submission part, yeah?

Heh. I don't know if it's a commonly used term, but Tim often calls it "bottoming from the top," like if you're the one doling out the beatings or the tying, but doing it more because the one getting tied really wants it, not because you're all hot to tie someone up. (If that makes sense. VERY often when I'm the top, I feel like I'm actually the one in a service position, rather than actually being dominant. But I'm cool with that.)

Tim was impressed that you drew more than one coil of rope (around the arms, torso, etc.); he said that for years, any images of men tied up didn't really use as much rope on them as you would see on women tied up. Apparently the Men In Rope site has been a big step forward in that.

Also, re: being comfortable -- the point of a lot of shibari *is* to be comfortable while still being restrained in whatever manner you choose. That way you can be tied up for longer than 15 minutes but not lose circulation, etc. (That said, Tim thinks being uncomfortable is part of the fun. I think he's whack.)

That is *exactly* what Tim likes about it. Whether that's because he's non-neurotypical or just because he likes being squooshed, IDK. If he could have a squeeze machine, he would be the happiest man alive.

We got great cara cara oranges at Trader Joe's. They have them at our Kroger, too, but they are not as good.

I have a (non-spoilery) theory about Raylan from Justified, that he is a bottom but tops from the bottom. I could give supporting evidence (in Cable, cause might be spoilery for unamericans) but it would be indicative and really far from proof. Maybe more of an impression than a theory...
