"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

OMG y'all I am so tired. I totally borked my sleep last night too. No more talking about it! Of course, the additional aftershock news didn't help. Must go back to my plan of how I don't check the news at night.

Meanwhile, must power through the rest of the day muzzily and get shit done, because, lo, I am way fucking behind. Funny how that happens when you don't want to do anything.

Laundry is in. The SO finished the newsletter text, so I have got to get that laid out and printed if I can at all manage it today. And something else. There was something else, but I am too tired to remember.

Oh! But today was Rockets: Day One with kiddoes and it was so much fun! They went really high, so much so that even with streamers instead of parachutes it took way longer for the kids to retrieve them from the wilds of the desert than to launch. Five more in two weeks; next week is our redo attempt at spring break.

Ok. Laundry. Onward.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Fuck yes, yaoi Batman tag. Obviously, quite NSFW.

I'm usually pretty much "whoever bottoms, whenever." I don't really care, it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the story, and I don't think it's a big psychological tell. I absolutely do not buy into the heteronormativity of the vulnerability of the penetrated. That's a load of absolute bullshit. You get your genitalia exposed anywhere around me and you're vulnerable, bucko. Trust me.

HOWEVER. It seems to be clear that most of the art showing Batman catching show Batman being dominated as well. I do not see that. I do not think he's the type to give up control in the bedroom to most of the partners he's being drawn with. Certainly not Superman or Nightwing. Come on.

And, yes, I have thought about this *way* too much.

eta: I am suddenly considering South Africa this summer way too seriously.

I wonder why. Maybe because the bottom dropped out of the Irish economy and it's the only way to recoop their investments?

Corporation taxes are low. It's my understanding that many multinational companies have their European headquarters in Dublin to avoid paying higher taxes. I would hazard a guess that the high cost of living is linked to this.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Did I mention I got only 4-5 hours' sleep last night? Dang. I made it through the work day, looking like Twitchy McBugeye, but now that I'm home I feel like I'm going to collapse into a pile of dust. Sleepy dust.

whether Superman or Batman would be the bottom in an S/B scenario

Batman. I've carefully worked out why

It would take A LOT (though not an Alot) to convince me of this. Because...

I do not see that. I do not think he's the type to give up control in the bedroom to most of the partners he's being drawn with. Certainly not Superman or Nightwing. Come on.

And, yes, I have thought about this *way* too much.

Like ita, I have thought about this WAY too much.

Besides, Supes is TOTALLY a big old bottom.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Gah. I also did not sleep much last night, thanks to a neighbor's new back door light. It shines right in my bedroom, and my blinds don't block it enough.

I'm going to try to speak to her about this tonight.

Oh, so there's still a strong market for rentals, despite the recession. Huh.

In non-flea-neurosis-about-the-future news, I give you a blog of things students have allegedly written in papers. None of them have surprised me yet (i.e. strike me as being made up). There are some great examples of how spellcheck is not your friend. [link]

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Those are hilarious, flea.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I heard a whole thing on the radio about how companies set up affiliates or whatever in Ireland and also Bermuda to save on US taxes. It all sounded very complicated.

Am I wrong to be increasingly annoyed at people who invite me to things via my parents?

Supes is TOTALLY a big old bottom.

This. Because I can see Supes wanting to be responsible for a while.
