You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Am I dirty, or not?

As long as you're not putting on Looney Tunes for prurient purposes, I reckon you're ok.

I hope someone will contact you all if I become undead.

You still have time to put a plan in place.

OMG, I just applied to have my student loans consolidated. If the estimate is anywhere near close to what my new payments will be...yowza...why did I wait so long to do this? Much better interest rate.

Actually, the interest rate shouldn't change, it's just a weighted average of the various loans.

The payments may have dropped significantly because they extended them out in time. For example, when I consolidated, they automatically went out 30 years(!) and I had to call and change it back to ten.

Obviously, if you need lower payments, that's one thing, but in the end you'll be paying a lot more interest, so check and make sure the number and years of payments is what you want it to be.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's an onomatopaeia.

That's what I figured!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Add me to the list of people who received a friend request. That was... surprising.

Between this and the Jessie story, I think if I had pursued Psychology I would be trying to get a grant to study how dissociative disorders can manifest on the internet.

In the event of my untimely end, FB would probably be the only way any of you would find out. My family wouldn't go online to notify anyone.

Ah, that makes more sense megan. I need to do the consolidation so I can push my forbearance a little further in order to finish paying off a loan that has no wiggle room. Then I can roll the money over to the student loans.

Does it make a difference if I ask them to shorten the loan period or if I just make double payments?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I believe that you still end up paying the full-term amount, even if you pay off faster, so the shorter period would save you money.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Suzi,

are you doing this through direct student loans or some place else? If it is the former, I could change my loan terms at any point and I did - to get my payments lower when I was brokeass.

If it is the latter, you may want to ask for more time and see if you can prepay the principal without penalty. Then you will have the best of both worlds.

It is through direct student loans. Nice to know I can adjust if needed.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

A remote-controlled shark just swam behind my desk.

That is terrifying. I am going to go check my bathtub now. And under the bed. There's no water under my bed but you just can't be too careful.
