Happy birthday, Emmett! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
Emmett's response: "Awww! Tell her I said thanks, like, a billion times."
He's eating his birthday cupcake (red velvet) right now.
(We had to get up super early because the car is in the shop and he has to BART to school today.)
Fifteen years ago his mom was still in labor. Actually she hadn't woken up yet. But when she woke up around 9 she was dilated at 9 and she started pushing.
Also, huzzah on Sophia's piss-free morning.
In a conference most of the day. Ooof.
OMG, 15!!!! UNPOSSIBLE!
Happy Birthday to Emmett!
He's so tall now that I have to stretch to touch the top of his head. He's gimongulous. (And cake-filled and content; despite the early hour, he walked out the door nomming on the last of the frosting and saying happily, "Life is good.")
Happy Birthday, Emmett! Glad there is cake!
I'm on the radio! Talking derby of course.
Happy the piss is where is should be this morning and not on anyone!
Why do we even HAVE this age?
It's been the only thing that has given me second thoughts on evolution.
We just went through Ben's schedule at the open house
Last night was our open house, too. I had NO parents come for my first period, then I have 2nd and 3rd off. So, I got to sit around and twiddle my thumbs for 45 minutes.
Parents: what do you want to hear from your child's teacher when you come to open house? I'm always at a loss as to what to say.
Happy birthday, Emmett!!
Our Open House was last night, too. We just try to get a feel for the teacher and see how the kids are getting into the swing of things.
I'm not looking small interactions with the teachers help me get to know them a little better. I hope it's nice for the teacher to connect with us--and to put a face to the names.
