"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My family had chickens in Providence when they first came to this country, a goat too I think.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

ack! Jilli! it's fake - so don't scream or faint or anything

Bwah! I haven't gotten through the entire video yet. But I'm charmed by the entire idea of it.

Friends keep trying to convince me we should raise chickens, since we have the enormous yard. But I don't want that sort of hobby, and I have no free time.

Argh! Where did this itchy rash on the back of my neck come from? Why has it lingered a week? I haven't changed any products! glares at phone, waits for doctor to call

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Cincinnati Yarn Bombing

Is that the Bombshells? They yarn-bombed the Contemporary Arts Center's facade not too long ago. They're pretty kick-ass.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

(Corgi, remember?)

You have a corgi!?! Do you have pictures? They are almost my favorite dog, but I love Shar-Pei wrinkles, too.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I am now googling therapy chickens instead of working.

Then my work here is done.

Librarian Warlord

Where's javachik? I heard you went to my old book club last night, and your reviews are in:

She came to book group and we hope she comes back. She is lovely and funny and interesting, and what book group (or person) can't use more of that??

brillig

There's a stretch of farmland clinging to the edge of town, and one of my commuter routes goes through there. And the geese in the one yard better learn fairly quickly that the big roaring things on the round feet aren't intimidated by honking birds, or there is going to be a big cloud of feathers there one fine day.

Always Anti-fascist!

I wish I could find another good book group(i.e. Not mostly an excuse for Real Housewife wannabees to have margaritas and pretend they are being cultural.) I liked my feminist group from a few years ago(Except being the oldest and the poorest...although I suppose that is the only sort of place I'm getting street cred...you feel me?) But the group disbanded and I never found another one.
