But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I am now googling therapy chickens instead of working.

Then my work here is done.

Librarian Warlord

Where's javachik? I heard you went to my old book club last night, and your reviews are in:

She came to book group and we hope she comes back. She is lovely and funny and interesting, and what book group (or person) can't use more of that??

brillig

There's a stretch of farmland clinging to the edge of town, and one of my commuter routes goes through there. And the geese in the one yard better learn fairly quickly that the big roaring things on the round feet aren't intimidated by honking birds, or there is going to be a big cloud of feathers there one fine day.

Always Anti-fascist!

I wish I could find another good book group(i.e. Not mostly an excuse for Real Housewife wannabees to have margaritas and pretend they are being cultural.) I liked my feminist group from a few years ago(Except being the oldest and the poorest...although I suppose that is the only sort of place I'm getting street cred...you feel me?) But the group disbanded and I never found another one.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am 100 posts behind, but a million times this:

My binge drinking and sleeping around occurred in college for me, too. It was not, however, advertised on social media.

I am vry vry thankful to be old-ish wrt this.

ION, the volunteer thing I took on? You would think I had taken a convict into my home the way my parents and their friends are acting.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

flea, you will be ok. You haven't used up your luck -- you have mad skillz and a great work history -- you're gonna be ok.

Sophia, I don't have pix of him without the stepson (I try to be cautious about posting too many kidpix on FB) but I'll take some and post on FB -- Arthur just had a bath -- well, a flea dip -- and a good brushing (with a fine-toothed flea comb, and let me tell you what an utter PITA is it flea-combing a Corgi's damn coat) so he looks very handsome right now.

Amy, you have questiony goodness e-mail!

And now I am going to Target for more allergy pills and legal pads -- the two are not related.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

msbelle, did you get my email? idk if there was anything helpful in there, but I'm happy to answer any questions, and even dig up old documents from past auctions if it would help.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The more I think about it, the more awesome it would be for me to have one chicken. Half-dozen eggs a week would be perfect! But one chicken would probably be a sad and lonely chicken, huh?

It has dawned on me that I will be unemployed in a week. Looking for a job sucks, man. It is so depressing. I have been very lucky with jobs so far in my life, and I am terrified my luck is all used up or something.

In my experience, this kind of luck does not run out! I have always been lucky in finding jobs, and I believe you will continue to be as well.

Always Anti-fascist!

Sadly, I never did much anywhere that, potentially at least couldn't be posted. But I still hate Facebook sometimes because mostly? There aren't many things about me that my friends and family both like. But that's not as bad as how Linked In makes me feel like an under-accomplished loser.

Because books.

msbelle, it's good to see you! Convict or no convict.

But one chicken would probably be a sad and lonely chicken, huh?

Well, there's always Homer ...

Erin, I got your questions, and they are FANTASTIC. People! One day Erin should be writing pieces for Vanity Fair. She knows how to ask an interesting question, I tell you what.
