I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Our wings are not tired.

A funny thing: one of the bands was this little world beat outfit called The Looters. All of the members, but especially the lead singer Mat, were like big brothers to me. Their roadie? Les Claypool. So gap-toothed Les and I would always go on the food runs together, and he taught me how to set up and take down some of the gear. Les is the SWEETEST.

Then one day he got himself his own band. Yeah.

Then the other band that mentored me, Big City, lost one drummer and got another. The second drummer was named Brian and he was nice, but he was not as nice as Les. Anyway, after Big City, Brian got into another band and changed his name to Brain.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The DH represented Israel Horovitz, Adam's father, as an agent, so I have met a Beastie Boy's dad. Not very high on the cool list, I gotta say.

Our wings are not tired.

But you didn't luck into the decision not to lord it over everyone here with that brush with fame! That is entirely attributable to your coolness.

Oh, I see. I am wowed on a daily basis by Buffistas' actual exploits (published authors, for one!) so it doesn't occur to me that brushes with cool musician types would be celebrated. Plus, like I said, I am square.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I am nothing.

I'm not a scientist. I'm a lame assistant.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

No one who has published two books is allowed to call themselves nothing. That makes the writers who have NOT published two books think they are LESS than nothing. Not to mention the entire snarky, caring, smart, fascinating non-writing parts of Allyson, which are ALSO not nothing.

Allyson is the opposite of nothing. I have spoken and will brook no disagreement.

Exactly.

not your mom's socks.

The Beasties played at my 18th birthday party.

You have seriously damaged Tom. He's in shock. Jealous, pathetic shock.
