Oh, Maria, honey, I'm so sorry. I didn't even think about the restaurant when I heard about the flooding. I wish I could help. And when you get to the clean-up part, if you *do* need help, Stephen and I could absolutely come up, and bring two boys big enough to do a lot of work. Seriously.
Hang in there, babe.
Maria, I'm crossing fingers and toes that the flooding/cleanup is as minimal as possible.
CJ is missing school today to work with the local Life Flight crews. Life Flight is doing training for their folks and invited the ARP team to participate and get a better understanding of how they can work together. I wonder if he will get to go up in one of the copters.

I was supposed to be driving to Ithaca tomorrow, but I'm uncertain whether the roads will be safe. The road from here to there is mostly through a state forest, and it looks like it's alongside water. Not too many towns around there, so probably not a high priority.
Maria, honey. I'm thinking of you, love.
Dear Universe, the following people are not on your route anymore: Maria and her entire family. Also, all buffistas. Go elsewhere. Like Pluto.

Amy, the bus driver could have just let her out at a random location, saying "'Get off my bus. I have other things to do and I'm trying to get home.'" [link]
The school system says this person is no longer a bus driver. I don't know why she's still employed.
