Yeah, we didn't have fleas here or in New Mexico. As soon as the Biscuit sets paws down in Indiana, though, he gets them and they drive him bonkers! So we hit the generic version of Frontline (Consumer Reports told me the patent expired recently and to buy the much cheaper generic!) as soon as we got to town this year and that helped a ton. But still didn't help with whatever "I'm allergic to the midwest" problem he developed that landed him at the vet all misery. But the antibiotic knocked it right down and he's fine.

Now that we're home, the big issues is the stickers. We seem to have turned the corner on the tumbleweeds, but there's another innocuous looking weed with attractive flowers that turns into tiny round bombs of pain.

Heh, yeah. She's really a lovely person, and on the big things, awesome. I mean, she's letting me stay with her right now until I move back to DC in a month or two. But, sometimes you just want to say, "Really??" And sometimes I do, but not on FaceBook. It's so funny, because I knew my other sister would see that and get irritated. Ah, fambly. So predictable.

I know! It was just odd. And I did not know that about t/T in Australia. But now I do, and no one had better ever try to contradict me, because I will be RIGHT. And possibly vulgar.

The metric system. I wish I'd grown up with that. It's seems so logical, and precise, and yet, since I didn't grow up with it, and we don't use it here, it's kind of mysterious.

That is just wrong. Those are neither teaspoons nor tablespoons. You already have more exact and usable units of measure, you don't need to confuse ours.
