Heh, yeah. She's really a lovely person, and on the big things, awesome. I mean, she's letting me stay with her right now until I move back to DC in a month or two. But, sometimes you just want to say, "Really??" And sometimes I do, but not on FaceBook. It's so funny, because I knew my other sister would see that and get irritated. Ah, fambly. So predictable.
Por ejemplo, it genuinely bothered her yesterday when I was right about something stupid and she was wrong (how many teaspoons in a tablespoon. Seriously).
How many did she think there were?
I saw this posted on someone's FB page, Jen:
“The need to be right is the sign of a vulgar mind.” (Albert Camus)
She thought there were 2.5. Weird, right?
Ooh, that's a great quote, Sue. I'ma use that (in person, next time), with a wink and a knowing smile. Steam... coming out of her ears. Ah-ha-ha-ha!
Aw, now I feel bad. She really is a good egg.

That's quite specific right there. Incidentally, in Australia a tablespoon is equal to four teaspoons. (Based on the metric system. They're 5 ml and 20 ml respectively.)
I know! It was just odd. And I did not know that about t/T in Australia. But now I do, and no one had better ever try to contradict me, because I will be RIGHT. And possibly vulgar.
The metric system. I wish I'd grown up with that. It's seems so logical, and precise, and yet, since I didn't grow up with it, and we don't use it here, it's kind of mysterious.

That is just wrong. Those are neither teaspoons nor tablespoons. You already have more exact and usable units of measure, you don't need to confuse ours.

Hey, I sympathise. By which, of course, I mean point and mock from a safe distance.
SPOOOOOON!
5 ml is pretty close to a teaspoon. And half-centiliter is unwieldy.
