It's been raining lightly here all day, too. I've been listening to Pandora, and the music is matching the weather pretty well. I think I will go try and make it change to a more peppy run. I need some pep.

ETA: After Hallelujah. I seem to be incapable of skipping it.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

My boss just announced that Nashville is the coldest city in the country today (56 degrees). I refrained from telling her how happy this made me!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It's actually the starter. Fixing now. Missing yet another day of work for car issues. Instead of spending the day unable to eat and panicking, I would like to just wash my face and take a nap. He won't have my car ready until five.

Also, I walked all the way home and then realized I left my house key on the ring, and had to walk back.

I'm invoking the Fucking Perspective Clause.

Invoke away; I'd be pissed, cranky, and stressing over work and money right now in that situation. I hope you're able to... recover well on all fronts. It sucks.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

::validates Allyson's invocation of the FPC::

Great googly moogly, it's amazing how things snowball with a car. My bumper is currently held on with sheetrock anchors (sturdier than the original pegs, I'll bet) and my starter might be going, and despite what TWO Honda dealers have told me, I think my IMA battery is dying but I bet it won't cough up a "deterioration code" until the warranty expires in January. Not to mention that it's still a bit funky from flooding back in June.

Uh, by which I mean to say that I may feel your pain soon and need to invoke the FPC clause myself.

Man, Calli, y'all are getting it worse than we did. There was a tornado warning in a nearby parish, but not Orleans.

It's going to set me back quite a bit. Not gonna lie. My heart sank.

Know what would be awesome to have right now to cheer me up? TERRIERS DVDs. GRRR.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If people need cheering up, I highly recommend reading DH's Q&A with Danny Pudi (Abed) over on TwoP. Specifically this bit where he talks about talking about Farscape:

I do remember that after that episode, I got a great fan response. So many people were like, "Seriously man, if you ever need somebody to talk Farscape with, I'm your guy." I got phone numbers and e-mails from girls and guys. I realized this is a problem in America right now: people want to talk about Farscape and they have no one to talk about it with!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Man, tracking calories is a buzzkill. I'm not over my daily limit, but only because I had my salad with no dressing and without the tortilla chip strips on top. Brown Rice and Beans for dinner, man. And nothing to drink but water and iced tea, for like the rest of my life.

I am going to lose weight though.

And you know what else? I AM going to get my house in shape. Vacations are not going to really be a reality, not even long weekends, for a while, so my energy and money is going into my house. Envelope saving starts today for electrical work.

Jessica, that's awesome. Shall add it to today's linkspam.

Man, tracking calories is a buzzkill

No lie! After a certain point, I found myself treating it like a game, but not until I'd started seeing the payoff. Before the payoff, it's just misery. Good luck with it.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Before I knew the gender of my roommate's new kittens, I tried to convince her to name them Troy and Abed.
