This weekend I am spending at least 18 hours in the car with my children, spending 3 nights with my father and stepmother, visiting rentals and picking one to live in, touring the school the kids will probably attend, going someplace fun with my nephew and niece (and their mother and grandparents), picking apples, eating ice cream with Teppy, and turning 39.
Should be a piece of cake.
Happy birthday, flea!
I hope the trip is less stressful and more successful than you expect.
Happy birthday, flea! I hope that turning 40 is less exhausting.
eating ice cream with Teppy
I suggest a double helping of both.
I'm skating in a parade and going to roller derby practice on Friday and Sunday.
I would totes be a roadie for the Off Topic Amys.
Let's see, this weekend I am: buying toilet paper and wine and doing laundry tonight because of that asshole Lee; as Lee permits, picking up a farm box, thrift shopping, and hopefully checking out some queer burlesque on Saturday; parade on Sunday and Tom's party (woot!), and Monday I will be recovering from the massive hangover I plan on having.
And you would have to look rad.
I can work on that.
We won't be sticking to the set list anyway.
Of course! What was I thinking?
Whoa, flea! That sounds like a lot of weekend. Happy Birthday!
My weekend. Well, I'm not sure. I know there will be karate on Saturday. CJ will be at his dad's from Friday until late Sunday and K-Bug is working Saturday, so I think Saturday will also be my chore day. I get so much more done when they aren't home.
Sunday, K-Bug and I have been looking at lots of local happenings, but I think we have settled on the Taste of Colorado. I think.
I'm gonna draw, write, and tidy. Maybe catch a matinee of something, if there's anything interesting.
I just got age busted. Well, I busted myself a while back, but it came up in conversation. Two 30 year olds were talking, and one asked if I was 28. I smiled, and the other guy said "No, she used to watch Viv Richards and Gary Sobers play." "Whoa"
Yes, I'm old. Bite me. When I say I'm stuck in 80s music, I do mean from the first time round. It's not retro, it's nostalgia.
Happy birthday, flea!
I'm getting used to being the old fart in the room at my library classes. Last fall, I was chatting with my seat-mate in my cataloging class and told her how I've been with my current company since November 1992. She said, "Wow, I think I was starting preschool that fall." Yes, I know I'm ancient.
I am headed to the mountains with my best friend and our five kids. We are riding the Durango-Silverton train, seeing Mesa Verde and staying at a cool looking Bed & Breakfast.
