Trust my rage

I am headed to the mountains with my best friend and our five kids. We are riding the Durango-Silverton train, seeing Mesa Verde and staying at a cool looking Bed & Breakfast.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Happy birthday and safe productive travels, flea!

Because books.

I swear all the other Harper authors are these hotshots in their late (and sometimes early) twenties. I bring up books I read as a teen that they've never heard of. Good times.

Happy birthday, flea! And safe travels!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay, Stephanie, that sounds awesome! We've been meaning to do that train forever.

Weekend: Today--work. Saturday--farmer's market, where we pick up canning tomatoes, then canning, then local concert where the band has promised to play a punked out version of Happy Birthday to me, then church. Sunday, more church, chilling out. Monday, panicking because school starts the next day, OMG.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

This weekend: tonight I have a Gothic Charm School signing at the grand opening of the new gothy shop that's opened in Seattle (goodbye spending money!), then the rest of the weekend is kittenproofing the house, as we are releasing them from quarantine early next week.

I went dancing last night at a new club (two of my favorite DJs started a new night), and it was great. 80s, goth, industrial, and oh, the eye candy. At least two guys who looked like every New Wave gay boy I had a crush on in high school, and one who looked like a deathrock version of Pete Wentz.

Since the club is in the upstairs of one of the local "hip" bars, the crowd was an interesting mix. There were two gay boys of the "dudebro" fashion style (jeans, white belts, baseball caps) who were obviously FLYING on E. When they left, they bumped into me, decided I was the cutest doll they had ever seen, and had to dance with me for a few minutes. Then they got distracted by something else and stumbled down the stairs.

One of the developers in my office is jealous that I'm old enough to remember going to the original Star Wars in theaters. (Side note: I didn't want to go because when my father showed me the ad in the paper I thought it "looked stupid.")

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have birthday confusion.

Happy Birthday to everyone who needs it!

This weekend--we get to go home around 3:00, but I have to go pick up my x-rays from my soon to be ex dentist, and then go to the doctor's appointment I made this morning because the owie thing I did to my big toe yesterday turned into a OMGYUCK thing overnight, and then I suspect there will be booze and/or chocolate.

Tomorrow I go get my hair colored, finally.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I need to get my brows done today. My car is washed. Hopefully tidying my apartment follows soon after, so bon can come and Superwire next week.

Fuck me, Denny. Lead the way. Seriously.

I'm scheduling a portacath insertion. The nurses have won.
