Timelies all!
Painted my fingernails for the first time in a long while. It started to chip pretty quickly.(should have expected that with cheap polish.) Have touched up the polish and added top coat. Hope that helps.

Preach it, Ginger.
ICompletelyON, oh my poor supervisor. In an hour or so she's leaving very unwillingly to attend a Giants game with her own brand-new supervisor and a bunch of other higher-ups, and she doesn't like baseball at all. I went and looked at the schedule, and now I'm kind of hemorrhaging pained geekitude all over her because she's going to see Timmy pitch and she doesn't even care!
I'm completely embarrassing myself and now everyone in the office thinks I have a crush on Timmy (I mean, I kind of do, but it's more a motherly, "Bless his heart, don't you just want to take him home and feed him lasagne for about a week?" thing combined with sheer reverent awe at any display of extreme grace, mastery and prowess). COME ON. It's TIMMY. It's like getting a free ticket to see Man O' War or Seabiscuit or Ruffian and saying, "Oh, I don't know, it's just horses."

I went off on an intern at a previous job. Our department head had recently lost her mother and was going through a really rough time and was depressed. She took a leave of absence that was about 6 months and everyone was really understanding about it.
Everyone but the intern. Who told me that the Department Head (a religous woman) should be turning to God and not be using therapy or medicine. Especially not medicine. She even told me about a friend of hers who was going through a rough time and wanted to talk to Intern. and the Intern told her friend that she wouldn't talk to her, she needed to pray and talk to God.
That did not sit well with me at all. I asked her if she took penecillin or if our department head had cancer would she be against the Dept Head getting chemo.
Of course she wouldn't be against that. So I told her therapy and meds for mental health are the same time.
Besides, God made people smart enough to figure this all out and discover medicine and therapies so how could she say that going to therapy and taking anti depressants wasn't God's Will.

She just gets awesomer and awesomer.
Somebody's Haunted Dollhouse
That's not just somebody. That's the Bloggess, she of "15 is giant metal chicken" fame.

A precursor of cyanide, at that. Cyanide is what I usually use to demonstrate that natural does not been harmless.
The Bloggess is awesome beyond words. Have you read about her meeting Neil Gaiman? [link]
The God thing reminds me of that joke "I sent you the plane, the boat, and the helicopter." I don't know who that is, JZ, but as a Bayliss girl, I'm very sensitive to crush objects named "Timmy" Man, I sound like the reason KO can't have nice things.
