If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yikes.

Kat, it's kind of ironic that K bought a new car with seat warmers when you're enduring 100 degree heat, no?

Heated seats are the mf'ing bomb. I don't ever want a car without them. Even if it's not cold out, the best thing about them is on long drives. The heat keeps you from getting all stiff and cramped after hours driving. (Second best is turning it on full strength without telling the person in the passenger seat.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

(Second best is turning it on full strength without telling the person in the passenger seat.)

That happened to me after baby-sitting once! And I'm not sure I even knew heated seats existed at that point. I thought I was peeing my pants and/or having a stroke or something.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Especially since she believes in the damned things.

Possibly that's why she doesn't want to talk about them? I dunno, just guessing.

Today is my day off and we're having the retirement party for our HR person. I like her and I said I would go. But I'm so cranky about the whole hiring process... It's not her fault. Argh.

Librarian Warlord

Second best is turning it on full strength without telling the person in the passenger seat.

A friend has a story about how she did this to someone and they didn't say anything for a long time until they finally burst out with, "We have to stop my ass is on fire!"

Between the two of them, my nieces in VA have something like 14 American Girl dolls. I believe that is including the bitty twins.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and then I played with them so hard and for so many years they are basically ruined, which is sad, as I bet dolls that old from a company that huge would be worth something now.

Awww, that's not sad. According to the mythos of the Velveteen Rabbit those dolls achieved aliveness.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My father believes in them mildly too, and he's more than willing to tell me everything he knows and tell me where to look to find more.

She's just being oddly academically snobby, which surprises me. I'd have thought this was her bailiwick, tied up with obeah as it is.

When I had questions about sex, she could find me a sex therapist to talk to, but this? She's got nothing.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I want to take Rich, dress in something scandalous, and try and pick up an entire bar. Where would be a good bar for that?

My friend Rich?!
