Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I hope my joining the prude pride bench didn't come across as a condemnation. It's possible to be personally prudish and yet not judgmental.

(Gah - I'm all over the place emotionally tonight, so am probably overreacting to everything).

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm sorry for your loss, Amy. Strength to you and yours.

I'm so exhausted that I just took a nap sprawled in the middle of the floor. I guess moving a cat off the sofa was too much trouble in the moment.

Our wings are not tired.

It's possible to be personally prudish and yet not judgmental.

Oh yeah, I'm not judgmental, but man I wish I could avert my eyes at sudden mentions of certain things!

Weren't we talking about bondage and stapling in here the other day?

Indeed. I was a prude then, too! But I was on iphone so could not be a typing prude.

You've met me, right?

I can boast YES. And I am still shy when I remember how shy I was to you!

[By the way, I don't mean to gloss over Taz health or the passing of Amy's Mimi at all. I just tend to comment on the more personal life events for peeps over on Facebook.]

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Amy, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Weren't we talking about bondage and stapling in here the other day?

Well, someone was. If I were better at emoticons I could show you the look on my face.

I had developed the assumption that the NSFW topics were generally discussed in Bitches; have I been wrong all this time?

Weren't we talking about bondage and stapling in here the other day?

Sadly, yes. Natter definitely seems more like Bitches of late.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Eh, I'm sure it comes and goes.

So to speak.

OK, so I'm kinda stuck with this roofer until 2019, due to the warranty and all (this repair should not cost me anything) but can I say how dubious I am of them? During the initial reroofing prior to closing, they sealed the drain on the kitchen roof. Cue rainstorm and kitchen ceiling coming down. They fix. 2010 blizzards, I find a shovel on the roof. I remove it. Cue this week, leak, discovery of second shovel on roof. I mean, REALLY.

At least they were prompt. I called yesterday, they sent someone out today and repairs were done. But I also got a lecture on my answering machine about not using a metal shovel on the roof and the shovel a) is a fucking roofing shovel b) heavy as hell and rusted like whoa and c) has a 3 foot handle that was broken off.

Ahrg. I'm going to have to pull out all my southern ice queen moves on the phone. Because I will not let them void the warranty, and will not be pushed around.

When it's long conversations, it's easier to scroll over I guess.

I'm jokingly chiding ita ! but it's not like I'm the thread topic police or anything. Just...I'm gonna chide like I am a prudish auntie!!
