Because books.

My mom knows someone who can do it, a lawyer friend. Although when she mentioned his name, I swore I heard "George Constanza."

I have so much to do today, and at the moment I'm kicking myself for oversleeping.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Maybe the "ethnic" shows are in Response to "Little Mosque on the Prairie", which I heard was pretty good. The rest of them sound awful. And I don't even think half those Jersey Shore kids are even Italian-American.

Little Mosque was a sitcom. And the Jersey Shore kids are all Italian, except for one, but almost none of them are from New Jersey. Most of the ethnic shows so far have been New Jersey Italians, but it seems like they're branching out since Jersey Shore. The Russian show was originally pitched as a Brooklyn version of Jersey Shore, and there are also Korean and Persian ones being planned, I've heard.

Even a lot of the New Jersey shows that aren't promoted as explicitly ethnic (Real Housewives of New Jersey, Jerseylicious, Jersey Couture, etc.) still pretty much entirely rely on the Italian stereotypes. And while, yes, having grown up in New Jersey, I did know some people who looked and acted like that, it was be nice to have some other New Jersey and/or Italian image in the media.

Trust my rage

Amy's plight convinced me to fill out a notary application myself. Not that it will ever help *me* but it's something I've been meaning to do anyway.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My mom knows someone who can do it, a lawyer friend

I used to have a lawyer friend who could notarize, but then he went and became a judge and now he's not allowed anymore.

The status is NOT quo.

AAA notarizes for a small fee.

Because books.

I found a place that does it for $5 per document/signature. Which is not bad, although I do have four documents to get notarized. I'm not even sure why I have to -- they're contracts, shouldn't I just be able to sign/date them?

My whole head this morning is stuck on GRONK.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

California law re: crosswalks has changed a few times over the years. Sometimes you were supposed to stop if a pedestrian was anywhere in the crosswalk, sometimes you could proceed if it was safe to do so (like if the pedestrian was a couple of lanes to your left, you could go ahead and make your right turn)

Do you know what it is now? I've seen lots of contradictory behaviour, on the first big intersection on my drive to work.

I'm gronking with you, Amy.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My mother used to be a notary. Annoyingly, now she is not.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

The purpose of most notorization is to prove identity. Some notorization is to have the person sign, under oath, that the information contained in the document is true.

CJ was out on an all day search yesterday. The search continues today, but he is at school. Pretty much dead on his feet due to lack of sleep.

K-Bug is driving down to NM to spend a week with her boyfriend. I have a feeling things are about to get pretty serious between the two of them.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think it's yield rather than stop, now, but I'm not positive.
