Now, this would be the perfect time for a swear word.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

California law re: crosswalks has changed a few times over the years. Sometimes you were supposed to stop if a pedestrian was anywhere in the crosswalk, sometimes you could proceed if it was safe to do so (like if the pedestrian was a couple of lanes to your left, you could go ahead and make your right turn)

Do you know what it is now? I've seen lots of contradictory behaviour, on the first big intersection on my drive to work.

I'm gronking with you, Amy.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My mother used to be a notary. Annoyingly, now she is not.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

The purpose of most notorization is to prove identity. Some notorization is to have the person sign, under oath, that the information contained in the document is true.

CJ was out on an all day search yesterday. The search continues today, but he is at school. Pretty much dead on his feet due to lack of sleep.

K-Bug is driving down to NM to spend a week with her boyfriend. I have a feeling things are about to get pretty serious between the two of them.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think it's yield rather than stop, now, but I'm not positive.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Back in the day when everything was on paper, I was going to become a notary for all of the government applications I was working on, but I never did it, and now everything's online anyway! Of course, not everything-everything....

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Today was Matilda's first day of kindergarten.

She was very excited and woke up early and wanted her hair in a "bundle" (bun) and pestered us endlessly to put her lunch in her lunchbox.

The entire school population met on the schoolyard and kids were rounded up for their new teachers and the new principal came out and gave a nice little pep talk and Matilda found her good friend Alizon and they walked to class together hand in hand, grinning.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Today was Matilda's first day of kindergarten

Dang, that's an early school year! NYC public schools don't start up until after Labor Day.

I think it's way uncool to put "Harold and Maude" in this list of movies. Just failing to get the point.

I've been reading lots of articles on women with short hair and I forget to get it's such a big deal, and then I remember how seriously so many people take it, long or short.

Because books.

Poor CJ. It's so great that he's doing that, though.

The charter school here starts today, although public doesn't start until the 30th. The charter school has a 200-day year.

I'm always the only person in the salon getting my hair cut so short. The other day I was there and two different girls were getting hugely long extensions.
