I mean, let's say you did kill us. Or didn't. There could be torture. Whatever. But somehow you found the goods. What would your cut be?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I have been messing with my Amazon wish lists all afternoon. I hadn't been to Amazon in a while. I added a bunch of stuff, and now with my Kindle, mom can just give me books.

I need a new power adapter though.

Yay, Kathy!

He's really cute and mellow. I'd be tempted, but aside from the financial considerations, he can jump over the fence.

Our wings are not tired.

I adore Shibas and Jindos but I think you all know that.

I just Googled the name of a woman I knew in the mid-1990s. She was part of a Hollywood circle that I was in (my ex-fiance is an editor) and she was a terribly pompous, mean, bitchy person. In "our" circle, of which I was pretty much the only civilian, she was one of the lesser accomplished people industry-wise, and she was just so fucking grouchy all of the time. She was the epitome of "mean girls".

Anyway the Google results completely crack me up because after she wrote a slew of the MTV Real World books, she went on to become a YA author. Of probably really insightful and kind books. Such irony. Maybe she's really nice now. Who knows, that was 15 years ago.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Who knows, that was 15 years ago.

I know that the me of now is very different than I was 15 years ago.

I've finally gotten to the point where I feel sympathy for my past self rather than simply wanting to kick her in the ass repeatedly.

15 years ago I was 5 months pregnant with CJ and felt I was stuck in my marriage with no hope of escape. Took a while, but yeah, I have changed a bunch since then.

Speaking of, I can't believe you had him driving. I can never, ever tell Ben this. He just turned 14 in February, but still. Yikes.

That's where I knew that dog's face from. Now that you say that, maybe he's a Jindo or Jindo mix. He looks like this [link] but he's probably about six months old. We just hope he's chipped.

Yeah, fifteen years ago Emmett was in utero.

My life hasn't changed too much since then. @@

Compassionately intolerant

There is a Jindo who hangs out in our local park. He's gorgeous.

I can't believe you had him driving.

He has been pushing so much about getting his permit in July and about how driving will be easy. I think he realized today that while driving is mechanically not that hard, just managing an empty parking lot was challenging. I hope it gave him some respect for the process. Judging distances and speed really surprised him. I don't expect to do it again until he has his permit.
