Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I keep trying to watch Community, and I just can't.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I hadn't watched a sitcom in years (since Seinfeld was canceled, really) but now suddenly I've got Community, Parks & Rec, 30 Rock, and HIMYM on my plate. And The New Girl in the fall because IT'S ALL ABOUT ME if I were single. So basically it's about my sister.

I've never even heard of Raising Hope. What network is it on?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

When I was at a university, there was a dress code. That's not fair.

Fox. It's Garret Dillahunt, Martha Plimpton, and Cloris Leachman. They are insane.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Raising Hope is my favorite new comedy this year. It's very very funny. And all the actors are good. No weak links. And the writers are unafraid to pursue the comic logic to its most ridiculous endpoint.

The season finale was one of the funniest things I saw this year, aside from two episodes of Archer.

I watched it because I wanted to know if Garret could do comedy, and because the baby on the billboard was crazy cute. It was the first sitcom I'd watched in years, and it was totally worth it. And Hec is right. It goes whole hog, and then regurgitates the hog.

Oh! You know what we haven't had enough of recently? Hookers and blow!

OH, yeah, Archer! So Raising Hope gets better after the pilot? it was quite the clunker.

OOh, I figured out which car's horn keeps going off. What should I write in the note??

I've hit a wall - my brain refuses to do any more work. This means I get to spend the rest of the afternoon on Hulu, right?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Leave a giant poster sized note that says:

"Thieves! Break into the car. Disconnect the horn and the car alarm and keep anything of value you find as a reward from a grateful neighborhood".

Probably not the most helpful suggestion.

Hah! It has many fewer instances of "fucking" in it than the ones I was thinking of. It seems to have stopped for the moment though.
